Do you enjoy helping others, connecting with people, and making a positive difference? We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our Community of Volunteers! If you want to make a difference in your community and you have good communication skills and can provide a helping hand, we’d love to hear from you! Good Neighbours in North Cardiff (GNINC) is a charity that supports elderly and vulnerable individuals in our community, helping people continue to live independently with a little extra the care and companionship. Our volunteers help individuals feel less isolated and encourage an improved a sense of wellbeing. When you volunteer with GNINC you can help in different ways:
  • Assisting with transport to medical appointments, social engagements or visits to local parks and other beauty spots.
  • Helping with shopping or running errands
  • Providing companionship through phone calls or friendly visits
Volunteering with us is a wonderful way to give back to your community and make a real difference to someone’s life. You will be supported, valued, and respected as a Volunteer at GNINC and we welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and pathways. Our requirements from you:
  • You must be 18 or over.
  • Happy to undergo a DBS check.
  • We will ask for two references before you start volunteering with us.
If you want to help with transport, you will need your own car, but you do not need any special insurance. If you have any concerns about the requirements, please chat to us by phone or email.
